Technè Bookshop is an online bookstore specializing in art, crafts and architecture. The herbarium refers to a diverted use of the book, an everyday object with multiple functions, which contains both knowledge and practical resources. The plant essences punctuate the year by following the seasons, and present the book selections. A vocabulary of paper cut-outs supports the very definition of technè (material fabrication), in an “Arts and Crafts” spirit of production on a human scale. Each year, the materiality of the seasonal images is renewed, through artisanal processes of stamping, engraving, stencils, etc. The manufactured paper supports are designed in an ecological and responsible approach: the paper chosen is recycled and the formats are optimized in order to avoid scraps as much as possible, reused in business cards, or even in bookmarks.
